Thinkpad packaging

#1 Post by Lauzy » Thu Dec 09, 2004 1:54 am

Hello,

I am interested in buying a Thinkpad. I am a little concerned about the packaging and the box. I have some questions regarding this

1)How well packaged are the boxes that ship with them?

2)Can they adequately withstand the whole transportation phase?

3)Does IBM double box their thinkpads?

4)What are the odds that a thinkpad will get damaged during transportation?

Thanks

The packaging is not pretty like Apples packaging but the Thinkpad is double boxed and seems sturdy. Mine came from Hong Kong to the US ine fine condition.

Thanks for the replies

I guess I am just being a little paranoid...I don't want to go through the hassle and everything.

Neither does IBM, which is why they're well packaged and insured.
