ThinkPad T400 and T61 accessories' compatibility

Hi everyone!

I've tried searching the forums before posting, but if I missed something, the hopefully-forgiving admins shall point me in the right direction. I apologise if these are newbie questions, but I am indeed new to the ThinkPad world. Since my entrance in said world has begun with a rocky start (a T61 that stopped working properly after one week, very likely thanks to a failing GPU), I'd like to avoid possible mistakes that could make matters worse. Not to mention my mood.

I've got a T400, and thankfully things seem to work fine with this machine. It came without a battery, though. The one in my T61 — despite lasting only 40 minutes — looks like it could be a good fit to close the void on the T400. But I'm not taking any chances before consulting with you gentlemen.

So my question is simple: Are batteries, chargers, and other accessories interchangeable between the T61 and T400? Thanks in advance!

Assuming a 14.1" Widescreen T61, the battery, keyboard, and AC adapter are compatible. Note that the CPU, RAM, and DVD drive are not compatible.
