Lightweight 20V 65W+ power supply unit?
Lightweight 20V 65W+ power supply unit?
Greetings!
I'm searching for what seems to be a unicorn: a light-weight power supply to replace the typical 90W PSU (~390 g main unit + ~190g schuko cable).
Lenovo indeed has a ~200g wall-mount (AC plug integrated into main unit) unit for newer thinkpads, but I'm unable to find an adapter cable anywhere... no EU store has it (searched mostly through geizhals), china (ebay, ali) doesen't have it.
There is an universal power supply called the FSP twinkle (~185g), but it is apparently obsolete and no longer available either in Europe or China.
Similarly, there is a really interesting PSU called the Finsix Dart (<=150g), but it is only available in the USA and expensive. It would also require me to use of those US-to-europlug adapterselectric shock hazards.
There is also the FSP NB Lite (200g without two pole AC cable), but carrying an AC cable is so awkward, even if it is not a massive grounded one. Edit: unobtainium as well...
Any suggestions? My back is breaking under the sheer weight of those darn power supplies! Is it not enough to carry a 2.5kg thinkpad?!

Re: Lightweight 20V 65W+ power supply unit?
Random idea: get a 65+W USB type-C PSU + adapter? It could fast "charge" other devices as an added bonus.

Here's one, that also has a USB charging port.
Try this: https://lenovoquickpick.com/aut/accesso ... sb-port-eu
Buy it in e.g. Austria, Croatia or Italy (not available in Slovenia).
There is also a cheaper version of the same adapter, where you yourself just need to replace the laptop-plug:
https://www3.lenovo.com/us/en/accessori ... GX20M73648
Don't know if this is also available in Europe

Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
But I actually prefer Murphy's from Cork!

Thanks, but I have an old thinkpad with round tip. That means either an adapter for either of those or changing the plug itself (not good, due to warranty and the thing being 100% overpriced).

Just in case, there already exists a square jack to round plug adapter as well!

I wonder if it will work with 45W slim tip AC adapters.
What bugs me is that now we have compact Power Delivery adapters like this one: https://www.icases.ru/upload/iblock/690 ... 2207dc.jpg (it is rated at 58W total, 45W on Power Delivery port and another 10W on QuickCharge port), but we have to carry around our 65W bricks with their heavy 3-pin AC cables...

Nice info here, most useful for those who don't mind risking use of factory made plugs from China.
Modified T470 to look like TP Anniversary Edition; TP 25; E550; T540p; wants a T420 or P1 to see what's good.
