ThinkPad Theme Sounds for OS

Hi all,

Since I got my G40, I realised that as part of the IBM theme, some of the normal XP sounds (such as the startup and login sounds) are replaced with other ones. What is the history behind these sounds, including when they we created, the last computer/OS to support them and if there were any others used.

Not sure about the sounds, but the ThinkPad wallpapers are still in use on the latest models. I believe the themes are what include the sounds.

Here is a link to most of the ThinkPad themes and wallpapers AFAIK.

The link was working on the day I posted it. That site has worked for years. Not sure what happened.

Looks like TP sounds from IBM era are lost - a bit like VAIO BIOS sound - nobody really found where it was hidden?
