Best product for cleaning cover

#1 Post by paulri » Wed May 18, 2016 8:26 pm

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E555. It has a hard black plastic cover. I have noticed that it is getting dirty marks on it that are glaring because of the contrast.

Is there a recommended cleaner for these shells? Has anyone tried a plastic trim cleaner for cars on these? Since I need to buy some of that, perhaps I can kill two birds with one stone. :D

I have used a Magic Eraser on the lids of all of my thinkpads with great results. All the light-medium scratches practically disappear. They also work on plastic, but just remember to use light preassure and not rub too much. The Erasers are slightly abrasive.
Current Thinkpads: W530 (functional classic keyboard mod), X301, T61, T60, T43, T23, 600X, 770
Other: mk5 Toughbook cf-19, mk1 Toughbook cf-53
