Force a re-flash of Optical Drive with FWOD08.ISO boot disk

#1 Post by CeeBee » Mon Jul 04, 2016 4:13 am

T43-1871 with CD-RW/DVD (FRU p/n 13N6769 shown as HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-4242N ATA Device).

The optical drive has been flashed with a mod-firmware (auto-remove region). I would like to re-flash with FWOD08.ISO boot disk to remove the mod-firmware, but, as the mod-firmware didn't change the version this is not possible with this boot disk as-is.

Is there a way to force a re-flash using the above ISO boot disk? Perhaps by changing a switch, command or a reference in FW.PRO, found on the ISO? Thanks.
