Hardware Maintenance Diskette for UEFI BIOS - Replacing S/N on UEFI Machines

Hi All,

The ThinkPad Tablet 10 and ThinkPad Helix Gen 2 are not equipped with the Legacy BIOS but only UEFI BIOS and therefore the standard HMD diskette cannot be used with these; instead Lenovo introduced the Lenovo Maintenance Utility V2.02 (or later) which has the same functionality as the HMD for ThinkPad with Legacy BIOS.

Does anyone have a copy of this utility or knows where to download it from?

Got the AMI software mentioned and its for DOS, not UEFI

Ever heard of a bootable DOS USB stick?
Or opening a DOS-box inside Windows?

Thanks; I missed to see that the toll incorporates a Windows application as well, however, it refuses to run on the Helix Gen 2 I need it for. Have you got any insight into this?

Which program (amidedos/amidewin/dmiedit/other) and which version do you use, and what is/are the exact error message(s)?

If you have the correct version that works on the ThinkPad Helix Gen 2 would be most obliged

I have no idea.
Internet searches indicate you should most likely use DMIEDIT.
Google is your best friend here, unless someone else chimes in...

Also, why don't you answer the questions?
