Uninstall VP8 Video for Windows codec

#1 Post by 7o7ato77e7 » Thu Nov 30, 2017 1:01 am

One of those moments when you are moving your cursor around your laptop via your forefinger and all of a sudden out of the corner of your eye you see one of those quick flash-like movements on your screen as if you accidentally clicked on something but you don't notice any obvious changes anywhere on your laptop so you try to shine it on although in the back of your mind you know you saw "something"!
Well, many times you never end up finding out what it was, but sometimes moments or even days later you'll notice something that "wasn't there" or "wasn't like that" and you somehow "know" that it has to be the result of what you accidentally clicked on.
So anyways... I noticed a different (maybe even "new") icon in the list that pops up when you click on the Windows key that is titled "Uninstall VP8 Video for Windows codec". I don't know what to do with it or about it..... Nor do I know if perhaps it's been in my pc all along... Nor if I will be making a big mistake by uninstalling it...
Can someone please help me?!?!
Thank you so very much for taking the time to read my ad.
(PS, I have a Lenovo Thinkpad x61)
