Hello,
I have a new Thinkpad

, an X220 on which I have installed Windows 8.1. I have the fingerprint reader, so I installed ThinkVantage FingerPrint Software and I configured in order to boot the laptop via the reader (not just exit from sleep, no, really booting the machine). It's nice, quick and so on (it reminds me Mission : Impossible, the 90s' series

). It could be a plus in terms of security to only boot from the reader, but I didn't see nothing in the BIOS to disable the button itself (I have the latest McDonnell modified 1.45 BIOS) and if that's something which is possible in Windows, it's probably in the G.P.O. (my Windows is a professionnal edition) but I have found nothing.
So, my question(s) :
– is there something like that in the G.P.O. ?
– if not, is that possible to disable the physical power button, and how ?
Thanks !
W.
