I originally allocated about 10GB+ for the system file restore (which I believe was part of the FAT). I want to be able to "add" those 10GB to the NTFS portion of system.
How do I do that? I am running out of hard drive space .. is there any way to recover this? Do I need to change my system bios? Do I have to reboot windows onto my computer? If I do this, will it wipe everything on my current C: drive?
Alas, when I ordered my R40, I did not request the windows boot disk within the first couple of months, so it is my understanding I can no longer receive these discs, even though I purchased the software (when I purchased the hardware).
Your thoughts on any of these matters would be greatly appreciated.

HELP - NTFS vs FAT, system file restore
Re: HELP - NTFS vs FAT, system file restore
System File Restore is a Windows feature. Go to Start > Control Panel > System > System Restore tab. From here you can change the amount of disk space allocated to System File Restore, or turn it off altogether.dcornejo wrote:I originally allocated about 10GB+ for the system file restore (which I believe was part of the FAT). If on the other hand you are talking about the 'R' partition that may be created for IBM/ThinkVantage Rescue and Recovery backups, I believe you can resize or remove that partition from within Rescue and Recovery. You can verify this by reading the IBM Rescue and Recovery - Customization and Deployment Guide.
