New thinkpad models?

I love IBM
wont buy anything else
however there are two things im worried bout

if and when will IBM release laptops that have these new brighter screens
Sony, HP, Compaq, Toshiba, Gateway are a few that have them. They go buy the name Whitebright, XBIGHT, TruBright etc...)
i dont know if anyone has seen what they look like but they drastically make the screen look better

also will ibm ever release any tablet pc's
thats all i want, a tablet
id hate to have to goto another company
then find out ibm is releasing one soon

I hear you. Many of us also want a wide screen option. A thinkpad with xbrite screen will be perfect.

Since specifications for top of the line thinkpad T43 are out already, it's unlike for thinkpad to come out with such display within near future.

With Lenovo's purchase on IBM's PC division, we hope that the new owner will get a clue and put better displays into Thinkpads.
