T43 fan problem is gone!

actually you don't need to type in the recipient email and whatever.
All you need to do is to browse and upload it.
and then it will provide a link to download the file.

It won't let me do that. I get a Javascript alert window telling me to put a recipient in. They must have changed the requirements at some point.

For me, I didn't notice any change in termperature, according to Notebook Hardware Control, but it does seem slightly quieter when you combine tihs with "Maximum performance" settings in Powerplay and Power Manager. Glad it worked for you, but it didn't really help me that much.

I don't think it's the graphics driver that's the issue. GPU temperature can easily be controlled through a combination of PowerPlay and underclocking (using the latest Notebook Hardware Control). For me (T43), it's the PCI, which will get very hot if the wireless radio is on. If I have wireless turned off, underclock and PowerPlay the GPU, undervolt the CPU and keep it on dynamic frequency switching, I can do office-type work with the highest temperature reading about 46 or 47 degrees steady. Using the fan control utility, I feel happy having the fan off all the time at those temperatures, though in an office environment I can't hear it anyway when it is on level 1.
Note: if you work with laptop on knee or on bed covers, rather than on a cool(ish) desk, the "idling" temperature goes up several degrees, up to 51 or so. Presumably because you're insulating the bottom and preventing heat loss. If I browse the internet with wireless, then I have to have the fan on, because the PCI temperature shoots up very fast otherwise, and that also heats everything else up.
