Sound / Speaker problem
Sound / Speaker problem
Hi,
Since yesterday I'm getting distorted sound like a loud sound pitch (few seconds) on my T41p speakers. It only happens when initially I use my mouse (just by moving it slightly) but it happens every time I move it. The only thing I did yesterday was to install OmniPage Pro 14.0
For example if I go to Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices>Speaker Volume I get loud distorted sound till the Speaker Volume window opens same for advance. It sounds like electrical distortion on my speaker (Happens on my attach speakers as well so it can't be the T41p speakers). Any other functions in Control Panel works fine, for example clicking mouse window doesn't create any distortion sound. This sound happens when I use any Tool bar function in any program.
Any idea?

Is your microphone and line in muted? Shouldn't be a problem but sometimes can be. People have had problems with a small amount of electrical noise coming through the speakers in the T4x series and you may have some form of feedback making this worse.

Well, the most common source of feedback is through the built in mic but if you have it muted that this is not likely. It's possible to get electrical feedback through leaking/radiating circuits. The noises reported on this board have generally been fairly quiet (ie you can hear them in an isolated room but not in a general office environment). If your noise is loud, then theres a problem with the software you installed, the hardware, or both.
