Well, I borrow CD's from my friend who has 1871 T43, recover my HDD to original factory state, and now, I want to record my own recovery CD's, but I don't have a Start-Programs-Access IBM-Create recovery discs option. Where am I wrong?

Unfortunately, the function wasn't available when the T43 came onto the market.
You can use R&R to burn an installed image onto cds with the originally installed software. (dvd isn't supported).
OR
Get your T43 up to date and then make an image, should you at some time need to re-install, you wont need to download as many updates.

I'm confused, I had this function on my T43,andyP wrote:Unfortunately, the function wasn't available when the T43 came onto the market.![]()
I think only to boot with this CD, and point to recover from 'hidden' recovery partition, but this was not the right thinking, if you understand me

If I get the chance in the next couple of days, I'll create a set and see if the option dissapears.

This is the simple answer: There are 2 sets. One works with models that start with a "1" and the other works on the models that start with a 2. Having said that, last month, I recovered a machine and where the correct set wouldn't work. (It kept dying late in the process) I used the other set, which will work too, but they have different graphics chips and the graphics driver needs to be put in manually. I opened a call with IBM.
OK, I understand that, my machine is 1875, and the set is burned on the 1871, both machines have the same graphic chip, that’s not the problem. Anyway, I can setup the regularly Microsoft Windows XP, download all necessarily drivers (updated) and get my comp in a better state then factory settings are.
Question is: Why the option for creates recovery disks is gone, after I recovered my HDD on the factory state?

I don't think my T43 has ever had the Start-Programs-Access IBM-Create recovery discs option.
Pressing Access IBM button at startup will lead you to the ThinkVintage Program which allows you to restore your system to original state/selected restore points using the stuff hidden in the Predesktop Area (and your backup files).
I think you have to use the R&R program in Windows to create those recovery discs.
Here's the file for WIndows XP/2K
