T43 14.1" XGA to SXGA+

I have a 14.1" T43 with Intel 915GM motherboard. It only has the Intel 900 gpu, not the ATI Mobility Radeon X300 gpu. It's an 1875 model. Is it possible to upgrade this model with an SXGA+ display? Or do I have to change the motherboard as well?

Welcome to the forum!

In order to run an SXGA+ panel on a T43, you'd have to swap the board for an ATi-based one.

14.1" SXGA+ option only works with any of the ATi based motherboards from all the T4x models. If you are upgrading the resolution, you have to either get a new 14.1" SXGA+ cable (NOT the same as the 15" counterparts) or you have to change some resisitor locations on the existing cable.

915GM boards cant run the higher res panels. You will need an ATI board as well.
