Right/Left Click not working on T43

#1 Post by E Waste Connoisseur » Sat Oct 01, 2022 2:53 am

Hey, first I'd like to say thank you for all the information this forum has provided. I've ran into a problem and for the first time can't seem to find the fix by searching. So I have a t43 and removed the keyboard that was 100% working when I removed it. Upon reinstalling it the mouse clicks don't work. Both the upper and lower set. I've reseated the connector a few times and at some point right click started working but not super great. What confuses me the the most is the bottom row of clicks, I didn't even remove it and it has issues. Any idea what the problem could be?

Also on a side note, I see people talk about the "S10" fan/cooling option for these laptops, what is that? Is it a upgrade over a stock 15 inch T43 with ATI graphics?

Disconnect the touchpad connector on the system board side, then check if the Trackpoint buttons work.
Planned Purchase: T480s i5-8350 FHD Touch

Thanks for the reply! Right after I made that post I found a post talking about turning off the top buttons via BIOS to test my problem and that made the bottom buttons work. So I know it's a keyboard issue. Went ahead and ordered a new one from FleaBay. I really appreciate you replying though.
