I refuse to pay $103 + 14 shipping for a BT card

Anyone know anywhere else i could get em?
I placed this order a few days ago on the IBM website. Today i finally called to check my order status, and they said that that card, IBM Integrated Bluetooth III with 56K Modem (BMDC-2) communication daughter card (FRU: 91P7319), is "not available", and it will never be available.roxylo wrote:I just called IBM sales/technical support and tried to order the BMDC-2 and the clear plate. They told me that my T42 2378-FVU is not upgrable to bluetooth. Were they wrong?
Did they say if any of the other cards were available?RogerPodacter wrote:I placed this order a few days ago on the IBM website. I also have the 2378FVU.
I cannot find any information on FRU 27r1880 that replaced 91p7319.RogerPodacter wrote:
So the part number we need (that is for the 2378FVU, at least) is 27r1880 , which replaced part number 91p7319.
However, I am having difficulty locating this new part number - 91p7319 - on IBM's website. Its not that I don't believe what they said. But I would like to be able to view product info on an item before I buy it. Has anyone delt with purchasing/installing this new card from IBM to use with their T42 (2378FVU or equivalent for our purposes)?
Thanks,
RP
