Hi
New to the forum and to laptops in general. I see most people have newer models of the ThinkPads, so I'm hoping you guys can help me out. I bought a used T30 (2366-83U) and I love it to pieces already. but as it was secondhand I had to install my own copy of XP Pro on it and I've downloaded most of what I think I need interms of software, however does anyone have a complete list of what comes with the T30 in terms of utilities and the like? I know WinDVD ships with them but I don't like it and Use Power DVD anyway.
On the hardware side of things I have heard that IBMs can be picky when it comes to RAM and other hardware. Any suggestions as to manufacturers of RAM and a miniPCI 802.11 card? Keep in mind that I am ini Canada and prefer to buy on the north side of the border just to avoid the customs charges and higher shipping charges.
Thanks

Re: Need a little help
the.vert, as per RAM, you can't go wrong crucial RAM (http://www.crucial.com) - I've ordered RAM from the US into Canada, and even paying the shipping and handling still makes it cheaper...the.vert wrote:...Any suggestions as to manufacturers of RAM and a miniPCI 802.11 card? Hi there! Drivers/Utilities are all from the IBM website.

Probably you can go through them slowly to see what you really need rather than stuffing it with what you won't need.
As for the wireless, here the link.
