Well gang... got my T30 today from Frank Ponte and it is a sparkler! Cannot be told from new. I have not installed any proggys yet, but since my last TP was a T21, I never had any experience with the ultranav pad.
My old trusty Winbook F/X (still running like a clock) has a trackpad, eraser type mouse in the keyboard, and you could also connect a PS2 mouse to it and all you had to do was move any device and it automatically recognized the input.
I asked Frank in a PM but it may be a while until he checks his messages... can I change the settings so that all input devices are automatically recognized? If not, how do I switch from eraser to pad?
Thanks in advance.
Mike

Re: Need some help on Ultranav setup
Mike,
Make sure you have the latest Ultranav/TrackPoint softwares installed: TrackPoint with UltraNav touch pad, UltraNav Wizard, and TrackPoint and UltraNav Accessibility Features.
After you installed them, just go to Control Panel>Mouse and you can play with the settings. You can also personalize them from Access IBM/UltraNav Wizard or ThinkPad Configuration.
By the way you won't have any problem if you plug in a USB mouse. All three mices can work at the same time.

Just checked in. Go to Ultrabay setup options under ThinkPad configuration (start/programs/access ibm/TP configuration).
I re-imaged the HD prior to shipping to you. Also applied latest TP drivers and Windows XP patches. You may need to download the Ultranav Wizard SW and install. I don't remember if I did that.
Hope you enjoy using the T30........I did!.
Best regards.
Frank
