Best excuse for ordering Recovery CD

#1 Post by MJC » Fri Jun 18, 2004 1:52 pm

I want to order the Recovery CDs from IBM, I understand I have to give IBM an excuse as to why I want/need the Recovery CD.

I would like to hear a good, sensible excuse so I don't get a hard time when ordering it.

Thanks!!!

Or just say you want one. That's what I did. They don't care

If they care, or if you wish to avoid the issue, just say you are replacing the hard drive. ... jdhurst

Just wondering :- I live in France. I've ordered a T42 from Bill in the US who will send it to me here. Where should I get Recovery Cds from - France or the US?

Once I have the serial number (and there aint no way I'm making up ANY kind of excuse to get what I've paid for) I'll just ring up and ask.

Hi! just tell them you reformatted your hard disk. If its under warranty they will send you all the cds required.

Cheers~
