Reinstall winxp & Update connector

Hi, i'm a newbie from Italy.
I have an T41 (2378) and some doubts:

1) If i want reinstall winxp on itself, how i can do? It's very useful for repair an damaged OS.

2) Update connector tell me that my system is updated, but the reality is that bios is old, ultranav driver is old, active protection system is old ,etc.
Which is the utility of update connector (version 5.32)?

I have IBM Update Connector v. 6.0 on my new T42p, but I can't seem to find it for download online.

If you download and install the drivers and BIOS from the above link, you'll be up to date.
