Hello all,
I have noticed that when I dock any of my thinkpads with a portreplicator that the boot time is really slow. For example it sits on the IBM (Bios/Alt Boot device) boot screen for a good few minutes before it starts the windows boot process. I have noticed this on a T22 and T23. I've just tried my T30 on it, and the boot time to actually start to boot windows is terrible. It sits on the IBM boot screen for at least 5 minutes before starting the windows boot process.
If I select to enter the bios, the response from the thinkpad is instant (it flashes entering bios straight away) but it still takes a few minutes to actually "boot" into the bios.
It is almost as if its waiting for something to timeout.
this is not a problem when removed from the port replicator.
Any comment/suggestion on this ?
Anyone else experienced it ?
thanks.
T30 + Portreplicator = REALLY slow boot - super slow.
