Loose lid when closed

When I close my laptop I notice that I can still make the lid move up and down a few millimeters. Is that normal?

Hi! Like you said " a few mm " so my gues is that all moving parts require some sort of a freeplay. so i guess thats normal. :)

On my T41p, it's about 1.5mm rather than "a few".
