Taskbar help

#1 Post by fireracer7 » Thu Aug 26, 2004 10:31 am

Whenever my laptop is running on battery, the arrow to expand my taskbar (to show the hidden icons) is extremely slow in expanding. However, when I plug my laptop into the AC, it returns to its normal speed. The only time that the arrow is at its normal speed while still on battery is if another program (such as Windows Media Player) is running. Is there something I can do to fix this make it so the graphics remain at their normal speed at all times?

Thanks in advance!

P.S. Just out of curiosity, has anyone experienced this before?

You can click on the Battery MaxiMiser Gauge and uncheck the option: "Graphic Device Power Management"
X21 (upgrade: 384MB ram 60GB 7200rpm)
T42 2378-DXU (upgrade: 1.5GB ram 60GB 7200rpm)
Z60m 2531-MTU (upgrade: 2GB ram)

That seems to have work. When the taskbar shrinks, though, the Battery Maximiser's battery meter has a slight delay when shifting.

I'm not sure about that (not ever sure what you mean :? ).

I told you to uncheck the option: "Graphic Device Power Management" because I had read that last week here - and it worked for that person. ;)
