Hello. Need some help. I acquired a T42, 2373-N63. Had to install a new LCD due to bad backlight. The one I removed had the 3rd wire for Bluetooth. The screen I installed only has two wires which I connected. Did a fresh install of XP Pro with SP 3. Attempted to connect to internet via DSL connection. Had no network adapters under device manager. After hitting Fn F5, Network Adapter appeared with Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) and Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI).
Below that in Device Manager I have the yellow ? other devices and listed below it Ethernet Controller, Multimedia Controller, Network Controller, PCI Modem, Unknown Device, and Video Controller (VGA compatible) all with yellow question marks.
I can't determine how to get the proper Network Adapter to appear to load the proper drivers.
Just wondering if I should have installed the modem and wireless cards from the system that I took the replacement screen from? Would it matter? I left the modem (bluetooth?) and wireless card in the system that I added the replacement screen to.
Hope this makes sense and thanks for looking.

Re: T42 Missing Network Adapter
Thanks for the response. That enabled the wireless and then I was able to find the correct driver for the wired connection. All up and running.
