T41p built in usb hub??

#1 Post by sneakyazn » Fri Apr 01, 2005 3:47 pm

When using the mini dock with the t41p, are the 4 usb 2.0 ports discrete from one another? i.e. can all 4 ports run at the 400mbs, or is it divided up (i.e. 4 devices = 100mbs each)? Anybody have any info on this?

As far as I know it is a hub. But it does not mean that each runs at 100 Mbps. When you use each one at a time you should get maximum throughput, and as you add more devices bandwidth will be shared accordingly.

yep.

One thing is that if you use ipod it is difficult to work through a hub. It works if you connect direclty to the computer.
