The true size of 1920x1200

You never realize what you have until it's gone. As presented with my Z60m that refuses to display 1920x1200 in Windows but works fully in Ubuntu.

So you don't get much more than good old UXGA. 160 more columns on each side is a nice boost, but not critical.

Only at high resolutions (FHD and up) and large display sizes, from what I've experienced.

If you're talking about standard Word format, I get that with 1600x1200, no need for a widescreen.

Indeed it has been mentioned in the past that two A4 pages side-by-side are closer to 4:3 than to any form of widescreen. It is 1.4, which is about half-way between 4:3 and 3:2.

Whether it's more comfortable to view on a wide-screen or a tall-screen depends largely on the other components on the screen - gap between the pages, vertical toolbars, horizontal toolbars, other windows, etc.

You really need QXGA, QHD, or WQXGA to put two full size web browsers side by side. WUXGA and FHD can do it but there's an overlap, so scaling comes into play, which works practically enough regardless of resolution (except xga).
