I have an IBM ThinkVision 9516-B23 LCD monitor that I've been having a little problem with. I plug the power and BNC cables into it and turn it on, and it shuts off and turns back on in one-second intervals. During the the first two or three flickers, I can see the display from my computer, but after that, I only see a black screen turning off and on.
I've tested the power supply with a voltmeter and it seems to have a steady voltage. I wonder if this problem could be caused by a bad inverter. Does anybody have any ideas?
Thanks!

Have you tried a different monitor on the same video output? I thought my cheap little LCD was going bad a few weeks ago and turned out that it was my card. It was exhibiting the same symptoms as you describe. You never know.

Yeah, I've tried it on a few different laptops and I get the same result. It will also flicker in the same way if only the power is connected.schen wrote:Have you tried a different monitor on the same video output? I just tried it with my desktop PC, and it seems to do the same thing. I can see the signal for the first so many flashes, but then it's just a black screen turning off and on.
