#1 Post by holberg19 » Fri Dec 29, 2006 6:18 pm

Hi Guys

How can I reduse the GPU temp on my T41?

Im using the Fancontrol and have my CPU temp at about 44 when surfing on the internet and stuff.

Best regards,

For the ATI GPUs, you can turn down the the PowerPlay settings for it to reduce not only the power consumption, but also the heat produced. That's really all you can do, besides opening the thing up and re-engineering a dedicated cooling solution for the GPU that fits. :)

She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

For that? I don't know.

But it has been done to T4X Series Thinkpads before on here. :)

The best option is to download ATiTool and underclock the core & memory to 70. Typical temp for a FireGL T2 is 49C-52C in normal conditions, you could lower that to 45C undervolting the GPU
