I've been using tpfancontrol v0.18 for about two weeks now and am very impressed. It's a great utility. My thanks to everyone who played a part in making it possible.
Not sure if this has been posted already, but tpfancontrol can report the temperatures of a second battery installed in the ultrabay, at least for the T43.
With the ultrabay battery present, tpfancontrol displays two additional temperature readings. They appear interleaved with the main battery readings as follows:
BAT (0x7c)
X7D (0x7d)
BAT (0x7e)
X7F (0x7f)
There are two minor issues/bugs:
1) Not suprisingly, raw "X7D" and "X7F" strings instead of something like "BAU" or "BT2" or "UBB".
2) With the overall temperature list having grown by two entries, the readings for PCI and PWR are pushed down and "off-screen" (i.e. they no longer appear on the list). If tpfancontrol is revised, I would recommend making that part of the window a bit taller to accomodate the maximum-length list.
Just FYI, I confirmed that those two temperature readings are indeed those of the ultrabay battery by noting their appearance/disappearance as I inserted/removed the ultrabay battery.

I'm not sure if i understand this correctly, but if you want to change the name of a sensor that can be done by changing the fancontrol.ini file.dderkits wrote:1) Not suprisingly, raw "X7D" and "X7F" strings instead of something like "BAU" or "BT2" or "UBB".
You could try the fancontrol version created by troubadix which is basically the same, but run as a service and gui changed a bit. Seems like that one should have room for 4 more lines, but since i don't have a second battery i cannot tell for sure. The version created by troubadix can be found in this thread (look at his signature): http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.ph ... &start=570dderkits wrote: 2) With the overall temperature list having grown by two entries, the readings for PCI and PWR are pushed down and "off-screen" (i.e. they no longer appear on the list). If you prefer to use the version you are already using i could change it for you to to make more room for two more sensors. Just let me know.
