T43 Docking Station Fan Noise

Hi,
I've recently acquired a T43 model number 266844U and a docking station model number 287710U. I was surprised to hear how loud the fan is in the docking station. Does anyone know how to turn the docking station fan down / off?

I have the same problem. Its louder than a desktop! Any tips would be appreciated.

Hi,

iam using a T43P during the hole day in my dockingstation with the tool TP Fan Control and the TP fan is working with 3500 rpm.

I wuld suggest to try the toll end edit the Fan Control ini.

I'm guessing you mean the Dock II. I notice the same thing. I heard anecdotally about people opening it up, and disconnecting the power to the fan with no ill effects (mind you, these are people without heat producing PCI cards in the option slot). I opened mine, but chickened out when I saw just now much I had to dismantle to get to the cord.
