I'm downloading, but no real big changes. The most promising is still a TODO:
finish the acpi fan control

just installed it and seems working just fine. i loved that actually it made an update not a fresh install so all the previous values were saved.

indedd fan later, and i'd still like to change the powerscheme values to whatever defaults i want, anyone knows howto?

thanks,

dorin

no real big changes.
Well, I finally installed it, and I am not sure I agree with that sentence.
The NHC monitoring graphs are a really nice addition, plus real dynamicswitching support and powerplay support are also very nice...

So far, installed it in 3 systems (a T40, a T42 and an HP nx6110) without any problems

Beware of Beta 2, it kinda erased all my Power Manager profiles (there seems to be a conflict.)

All my profiles are auto-erased with every system reboot. Have reverted to Beta 1.

Yeah, I think borez is right.
On my Thinkie all Power Manager profiles are gone, too.
I had the same problem with the Beta 1 but I could fix that (regedit),
but with Beta 2 I didn't find a solution yet.....so back to Beta 1.

Dang, it seems that my power schemes are messed up.
Anyone knows how to solve the issue (regedit trick?)

EDIT: It seems that NHC's Power Scheme Control conflicts with Thinkpad Power Manager, and that NHC screws the default profiles everytime it loads.

I had to clean all the reg. entries in HKEY_CURRENT USER > Control Panel > PowerCfg > PowerPolicies, and remake my profiles with Power Manager.

EDIT2: Discovered some interesting things about Power Manager.
It seems that it works on Window's regedit profiles, but it adds additional entries for the Thinkpad functions (ie, LCD Brightness on batteries/AC..)

You can just simply backup the reg. entries in the PowerPolicies section, and you can even reorder them! :)

I wonder if this problem is due to the .NET Framework, as I am running 2.0 (but I didn't realise it.. my bad. )

hi borez,

yes, i prepared some *.reg files for recovery ;-)
it's a must when using power manager together with nhc !!

on his page Manfred Jaider says that nhc requires NET framework Version 2.0 !!!
http://www.pbus-167.com/chc.htm
i didn't now that it works with net 1.1.

on my machine there are both versions NET 1.1 and 2.0.
when installing NHC 1.10 beta 1 i get an error/warning message
that net version 1.1 is old, but installation continues....
maybe a clean version 2.0 would be better.

i hope Manfred Jaider will correct his wonderful program. lets's send him an email. meanwhile i'm gonna use beta 1.

It still seems to fubar my Power Manager profiles on this - but my Power Manager's already a little screwy from the last Beta 2 build.

Anyone tried Beta 3 successfully on their system?

some people complained about compatibiliti issues with power manager.

on my x40 everything goes smoothly!

maybe because oficially power manager is not supported for x40?!

Hmm.. you are tempting me to try it again with my reformatted Thinkpad. :(

Anyone has managed to get it working successfully?
