I made a small tool that monitors ThinkPad's APS status. If there's sudden motion of the laptop it can play a siren to scare away the thief:)

When it's enabled, it will prevent laptop from going into "sleep" or "hibernation". It can also adjust Windows' master volume to max when playing the siren.
