Trying to find my model of T23

I have a working T23 and I can't find the specific model I have. I bought it off a friend and I don't have documentation. I've checked the MTM list but not everything fits.

Specs are:
Pentium 3 M 1.13Ghz
1GB RAM
30GB HDD
CD-RW/DVD ROM
XP Home


I'm confused because I have a combo CD-RW/DVD drive and XP Home but all of the ones listed show XP Pro. The RAM was upgraded to 1GB so I don't know what the original amount it came with was. It has a built in modem and my friend threw in a wireless card.

There's a sticker on the bottom side of the laptop, containing serial number, production date and a 7-character code. What's that code ?

I have a sticker with the IBM logo on it. It just says Type 2647. There's a barcode sticker too but the writng's rubbed off.

Well, go into BIOS...there's a line that will start with 2647...read the next three characters and report back.

It actually didn't start with 2647! It was 26484PU

Well, these are the specs from the machine that "donated" that motherboard...the shell obviously came from another one, given the 2647 code on it

T23 has barely any $$$ value, so I guess it won't.

I wouldn't be concerned about that issue on a T23.

Just enjoy that oldie....
