T60 gets stuck on the startup logo for a bit

#1 Post by kyletv05 » Wed Feb 19, 2020 12:20 pm

My T60 takes awhile to get past the startup logo. It takes like 10-20 seconds? That doesn't seem right to me. I've went into the BIOS and I'm sure the boot mode is "quick", and I don't have the extended memory test enabled. My RAM setup is 2x2GB, and I'm on the latest BIOS version.

Any devices plugged in (USB or others)? If so, try unplugging them.

My T601F's BIOS settings are the same, and despite that, it still does an extended memory test (at least for the first 3 GB of the installed RAM) which takes 20 seconds or so like you describe. If you press ESC during the POST logo, is it doing the memory test?
