t60 touch pad FRU? replacements?

Here's my story.

I spilled coffee. It seeped under the touch pad and ruined the touch pad circuit board on a 15" T60. Mouse works, but left click is gone.

I plugged in a palm rest from a t60 widescreen and that fixed the left click. But that palm rest won't fit the 15." I took out the T60 widescreen circuit board and put it into the 15" palm rest. Didn't fix left click.


Now looking for a replacement part on the cheap. Might there be another Thinkpad that can provide the circuit board?

Are the touchpad buttons and touchpads separate pieces yet on T60? If they are you could try just switching the buttons board.

The 3 buttons above the touchpad are part of the keyboard.
The touchpad and the 2 lower buttons are one part.
AFAIK you can replace that between T60 15" and T60 15.4" palmrests, maybe even T60 14" and T61 as well.
