T61 14.1 wide board in T60 15.4 wide housing ?

I have a T61 14.1 widescreen nvidia board and i wonder if it would fit the T60 15.4 wide housing ?

Hi, please compare the layout of the ports on the left side of your motherboard (T61 14.1 wide) with the layout of the ports on the target body (T60 15.4 wide).
If they match my intuition would be it's worth a try.
However I believe they're different.
If that is indeed the case I would expect transplanting not to be possible.

14" wide can't fit in 15.4". 15.4" is a widened version of the 4:3 boards, hence why some radical mods were done to put 15.4" 256mb FX570m boards into 4:3 machines. 14" wide is a unique design however.

^^ You mean putting the T61 15.4" boards into 4:3 15" T60 chassis, right? The 15" boards won't fit in a 14" 4:3 chassis.

Yeah, the T61 14" WS boards were unique to the point of even having a different battery shape.

They actually fit just the same. 15" T60 uses the same planar as 14" T60/T61 in a case oversized to accommodate the 15" LCD, and provided an Interposer board so the ultrabay devices can connect.

One of the fellows here produced such a machine: 15.4" FX570m T61p planar in a 14" 4:3 case, a unique contender for its time. Even today there are people obsessively fond of 14" 1400x1050.
