Replacement of the T60 15" case (4:3)

Hello everyone!

Recently purchased a T60, 15", 4:3 with significant case defects. But, unfortunately, I did not find a suitable case on sale.
From this laptop, I wanted to leave only its IPS LCD 15".
Maybe this part of the case is replaceable from other models (for example, the R series)? Or T61?

Only another T60 15" will have the right bottom case and frame. If you can find a donor machine with an inferior LCD it may make sense to swap your IPS lid assembly onto that base. Good luck.

Your best bet is to scour Ebay for a non-working (or inferior LCD) 15" t60 and cannibalize the best parts from each. Affordable 15" T60's still show up for sale there, but it takes patience to weed them out from the much more common widescreen and mislabelled 14" models. Fortunately it's usually easy to spot the wrong models based on a photo of the opened laptop.

Individual replacement parts can still be found for 15" T60's, but that's going to run the price up a lot compared to buying a "for parts" laptop, and some parts (like the upper case keyboard bezel) are getting incredibly hard to find.

Bought a T60 in excellent condition with a 1024*768 display
