T61 CTR-V CTRL-ALT-DEL not working

#1 Post by francois43 » Thu Apr 06, 2023 9:39 am

Hi,
I am riddled. I have 2 T61's: 6463 and 6458. They look identical. Both with Centrino duo and with Vista sticker, though now both running Windows 10 home. The 6463 does NOTHING to CTRL-V (paste) nor CTRL-ALT-DEL (task manager). The 6458 however does correctly paste and opens taskmanager. Both have the same Windows image put on a Samsung SSD. If I interchange the SSD, still the same result, meaning (how else?) it cannot be a windows setting since they are identical copies. The keyboard drivers are indeed the same. One difference: I ran Middleton bios on the 6463. Could that be the problem? How to get these keys working?

Have you tried swapping keyboards?
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
But I actually prefer Murphy's from Cork!

Middleton gave the option of swapping the Fn and Ctrl keys, you may have flashed that.
