Software Installer broken?

I just checked Software Update to see if the updates that have been discussed were available (not, but 4 others were).

It tries to download the update, then completely starts over, and then declares that the download failed. It happened on two of the 4, so no reason to believe it won't on the rest.

Anyone else have this happen???

yeah it happened to me ,, i think the problem from lenovo's servers

Software installer has problem.

But you can try the "System Update" ! It works

System Update doesn't work any better than Software Installer (I ran it for weeks including an update). Software Installer can uninstall things, and install things you downloaded outside of Software Installer. Update doesn't even come close. Right now both go to the Lenovo servers, but neither is picking up all the updates (per the website information). ... JD Hurst

I had the same problem with Software Installer. The Intel Chipset update and the Intel LAN update both would try to download twice and then fail.
I ended up manually downloading and installing these updates from the driver matrix page.
After doing that, the rest of the updates downloaded and installed without issue using Software Installer. Weird!
I've just about given up on Software Installer. I gave up on Software Updater a long time ago because it kept telling me I needed to install an update that I already had installed.
