The User Could Not Be Enrolled With Client Security Solution Error !
Hello,
I re-installed my operating system (Vista B) from Rescue and Recovery option by choosing my T61 ( 7664-18G ) to its factory state, Everything worked fine, but i keep getting the error "The user could not be enrolled with Client Security Solution". When i searched some forums, i am suggested to clear the security chipset from bios, i did that several times, uninstalled CSS and FP software, re-installed both of them. But i keep getting the same message. In addition to this, the finger print software cannot be installed any more.
I need serious help on this matter.
I appreciate any suggestions..
Thanks.

I don't know if this helps, but I had a very similar problem when I upgraded to Vista. What I ended up doing was resetting the TPM and taking "ownership" of it again. The way I did this was by doing a search for "tpm.msc" in Vista, and I opened the little application that controls the TPM. From there, it's pretty self-explanatory.
However, if you want to know more about it, or want more detailed instructions, this is the discussion where I found the info. I hope this helps. Cheers.

Thanks for the post. I appreciate your suggestions, but i have the same problem. I resetted TPM device, resetted fingerprint settings from bios, cleared the security chip, deactivated it. Uninstalled Client Security Solution. Re-installed it again. Activated TPM and Security Chip,
I have the same error.
"The user could not be enrolled with Client Security Solution"
Besides, Fingerprint Software cannot be installed..
Any more ideas ?

Do this:
Start > Search and then type in "Tpm.msc" .
See if you can find any disabled ownership options there. Remember you need to take the ownership in order to enable advanced features of TPM.

Is there any specific order for this ?
Clear the TPM.. Uninstall CSS, deactivate Security Chip, Erase All Fingerprint Data from Bios, Then Re install CSS, initialize TPM and so on ?
is that a right order ? This is the way i followed ? Am i right or wrong ?

I think the order matters.
On another forum the following sequence has worked for another user:
On another forum the following sequence has worked for another user:
1) Uninstall Client Security Solution 8.0 (for Vista)
2) Shutdown your computer
3) Hold down F1 (while computer is off) and press power button to turn on computer
4) Once a message stating the the computer is booting into BIOS, release F1
5) In the BIOS, go to the Security Chip section
6) In the Security Chip section, the last selection was to clear its settings (I forget the exact wording)
7) Clear the settings and select Yes to clear the encryption thats on the chip
8 ) Save settings and start Windows
9) Reinstall Client Security Solutions
After reboot, it completed the enrollment process successfully.
