Where can I find a new battery for my X40?

Total shot in the dark, but...

I have an X40 with a bad battery. I am looking for the 4 cell 1900mah battery, but can't find it anywhere. I can only find the extended life one, but that one is no good for me as I then can't put the machine in the dock or in my laptop sleeve. Found one locally, but the cells expanded and wouldn't charge when I tried to charge it. For now it's running off a big 30,000 mah powerbank, but that is too cumbersome to carry around.

Anyone got sources for batteries for older thinkpads like the X40 that aren't complete garbage?
Preferably looking for sources for OEM or new.

This X40 is the laptop, NOT the tablet.

Amazon.ca doesn't have the 4 cell, but amazon us does, but won't ship to Canada.
