X41 / X60 / X61s Panel compatibility

Hi everyone,

I got an X41 with cracked panel and an X61s with dead mainboard but with good panel. I tested the x61s panel in my x60 and i found the x61s panel looking better. I wonder if the x60 panel would be compatible with my x41 ? I would use the better x61s panel with my x60.

Find out exactly which screens are used (manufacturer, model), then look for each screen's datasheet (usually in PDF) and compare their LCD-connector pinouts, as well as their locations on the screen.

I killed a pretty good x41 mobo after plugging the x61s display to it. Now the fan spins for 2 secs and system turns off.
