X31 - Boot from USB HD?

I have an X31 (bios ver 2.15).
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to boot from a USB HD, and if so how?

I can't say for sure, but I've been involved with this thread for a while:

It seems that the X22-X24 machines can boot from USB flash. It would seem logical to think that yours (being a more recent model) would be able to boot from USB flash and, by extension, a USB hard drive.

Anyone out there with real world experience?
