What to expect from the next "gen" X series?
What to expect from the next "gen" X series?
What hardware changes are expected for the next generation of the Thinkpad X series? Graphics? CPU? Harddrive? Screen/Resolution?
Anyone have any "inside" information on this?
Today people complain about HD performance and the graphics in the X40 series. Hope IBM do something about this. Or what do you think?

What I expect welll before that
good thread linmias very cool
HDD: More capasity (80 GB at least 100 maybe 120 not surprised)
More Speed (more rpm)
less noisy
RAM: More RAM capasity (at least 2 GB)
Speed RAM technology
VGA: ATI Radeon Mobility (not slipping screen when scroll mouse move
up-down)
CPU: Intel Centrino 2.0 or 2.4 Dothan or next series and if possible no fun
COMBO DRIVER: X40 has no CD-ROM driver IBM tried to design more light thinkpad and they did good job but next x40 (or x41) light and slim too but replaced CD-ROM Combo driver (with DVD-RW)
this is Amazing Machine !!!!
SOUND: Sound card is week.more power good sound

There is no banana, bananas are figments of your imagination. Bananas are leading you away from the light, come into the light my brother, accept the order of the oranges.
