Thinkpad Installer incompatible with SP2?

I did a fresh recovery to factory settings and then used IBM's Thinkpad Software Installer to find all the updates. After that, I started with Microsoft's basic updates, but now I am getting an error whenever I try to install SP2. I have done factory recoveries many times and the only thing that is different this time is me using the Thinkpad Software Installer. Anybody else had these issues?

I've recently done a clean install, and am using the newest version of software installer (the one that connects out to the internet).

I'm running SP2, and so far have had no problems with this version or the previous one.

I installed SP last year, so I did it in the other order from you. Nonetheless, the new Installer is working fine. ... JD Hurst
