What is most current Middleton's BIOS?

#1 Post by E350 » Thu Sep 20, 2018 9:16 pm

I just flashed a new to me X61 with my CD which contains a Sept. 27, 2013 Middleton's BIOS version 2.22-1.03

Is this the current Middleton's BIOS for the X61?

If not where can I find the most current?

Yep, that's the latest version I got and have not heard of anything newer. Works fine and Lenovo have not release any useful BIOS update for this platform. Considering the age doubt they ever will.

That's the one I have flashed on all my x61 as well. They don't generally update things in the BIOS past about five years out it seems.

If you want an x62, that has a whole separate custom BIOS made by the 51nb hack-mod team in China. While good and a wonderful processor, I'm still waiting on a few things to be ironed out before I will consider getting one.

Yes, I would like an X62.
And, yes, I am not the "early adopter" type.
So, I hope they are still working out the kinks and will issue another edition of the X62...
