Hello.
I use my x60 tablet for drawing. My question is, if it is possible somehow to use it as an external monitor of my rig and draw in it (Just like a cintiq)?

I've done a bit of research on this, and IIRC it's possible, but you have to remove the entire lid from the rest of the laptop, hook up the screen to an LCD controller board so it becomes a standalone monitor, then start digging through http://forum.bongofish.co.uk/ for ideas how to hook up the digitizer to USB microcontroller (I think it was a Teensy).
Planned Purchase: T480s i5-8350 FHD Touch
Impulse Buy: Thinkpad not named for safety reasons

Said screw it and put Adobe Flash on my X230T....then realized I couldn't draw to save my soulAwanis wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2019 7:05 amdarn, that looks like a lot of trouble. i was hoping for some way via software. just like "Easy canvas" or "Astropad" for the Ipad.axur-delmeria wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2019 6:02 amI've done a bit of research on this, and IIRC it's possible, but you have to remove the entire lid from the rest of the laptop, hook up the screen to an LCD controller board so it becomes a standalone monitor, then start digging through http://forum.bongofish.co.uk/ for ideas how to hook up the digitizer to USB microcontroller (I think it was a Teensy).
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.
The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.
