What's the "real" weight of X60s?

#1 Post by pianowizard » Tue Jan 31, 2006 10:36 pm

According to www.lenovo.com, the X60s with a 4-cell battery weighs 3.04 lbs and one with an 8-cell battery weighs 3.51 lbs. What the heck? I thought it's supposed to be only about 2.65 lbs (with 4-cell battery) for the non-Japanese model, no?

i saw japanese website(http://plusd.itmedia.co.jp/pcupdate/art ... ws076.html), and they are saying this lightest X60s is using 1.8 inch Hard Disk... and probably they are also using so called 'slim 4-cell' battery which has less operating hour than normal 4-cell.....(this model becomes 1.16 kg)

and interesting point is in Japanese model, this X60s uses better(brighter) TFT than X60.... I don't know whether this is true for U.S.A model, though... Anyway, I have placed the order for X60s!!!! Agent was saying they will ship this in 2-3 month!!! that's too loooong to wait....
