harddrive on my X60s - internal 60gb drive with a 320

#1 Post by rajo » Sat Apr 04, 2009 3:11 am

I have a problem:
I have replaced the internal 60gb drive on my Lenovo X60s with a Hitachi SATA-disk 320 gb - 7200RPM

Here's how I did it :
I made an image on the new disk with Norton Ghost.
I changed the S-ATA settings in BIOS from AHCI to Compatibility mode

My x60s can't find the new drive - what have I done wrong....

I will appreciate help from someone...

Thank you

rajo

Mod note (KristianJ): Moved thread from Forum Suggestions into the X6x area.

Vista or XP? Why did you change the S-ATA settings?

You might try the Thinkpad MBR repair kit, from here:

It worked for me when I had a similar clone problem.
